Second Floor Renovation
Posted October 14, 2025. Notice is hereby given by the Board of Library Trustees of the Mount Prospect Public Library that sealed bids will be received for the Main Library Second Floor Renovation Project 2026. This project consists of renovations to the public areas. This project is scheduled to be completed by September 2026. All questions are to be directed to both Nicole Frohling (nicolef@buildwithsms.com) and Josh Campanelli

Second Floor Moving
Posted October 16, 2025. Notice is hereby given by the Board of Library Trustees of the Mount Prospect Public Library that sealed bids will be received for the Main Library for the 2026 Shelving & Collection Moving Project. This project involves relocating library shelving and collections in coordination with a phased construction project. The project is scheduled to begin on January 30, 2026. All questions are to be directed to Malachi Kohlwey (mkohlwey@mppl.org) at the library.

Vendor Information Reporting

FOIA
Any person requesting records of the Mount Prospect Public Library may make such a written request by mail, personal delivery, or email, to the attention of the FOIA Officer, Su Reynders, Executive Director. MPPL does not have a required FOIA form; any written request will be honored.

Fees:
- The first 50 pages of black and white letter or legal sized copies – no charge; additional pages $.15 per page.
 - Color pages will be charged for actual cost of reproduction.
 - Certification fee is $1.00.
 - If electronic format is requested, fee will be charged for only cost of the medium e.g., disc, USB flash drive, etc.
 
FOIA Request Response Time
Responses to commercial requests can be expected within 21 business days of the receipt of a written request.
Responses to non-commercial requests can be expected within 5 business days of the receipt of a written request. If an extension is required, a FOIA officer from the library will reach out to the requestor.
FOIA Request Review Process
If your request for information is denied, or denied in part, you have the right to have your request reviewed by the Public Access Counselor (PAC) at the Office of the Illinois Attorney General. 5 ILCS 140/9.5(a). You can file your Request for Review with the PAC by writing to:

You also have the right to seek judicial review of your denial by filing a lawsuit in the State circuit court. 5 ILCS 140/11.
