The second floor construction bids were unanimously approved by the Board of Trustees at the November 20, 2025, meeting and the project is scheduled to begin in February 2026.

The overall project is scheduled for completion in September 2026, and the work will be completed in phases to minimize disruptions to library services. The initial phase, starting in February, will focus on creating new teen spaces, a new tech lab, and a quiet reading area as well as increasing the number of adult study and meeting rooms.

All existing study rooms, teen spaces, and restrooms on the second floor will be temporarily unavailable during the first phase of the project from February through April.

Access to some second-floor areas will be limited, and some collections will be temporarily relocated. Staff will be available for assistance throughout the project.
