2025 was another banner year for the library. We welcomed over 350 thousand visitors combined at the Main Library and South Branch and circulated over one million items, including over six hundred thousand books!
Cardholders also found value in our Library of Things, borrowing over 35 thousand items. Need a high-pressure inflator, travel adapter, blood pressure thermometer, or mermaid tail cake pan? We’ve got those, and we’re glad you opted to try these items — and more! — from our Library of Things.
Our community continues to turn toward the library to find the answers and resources they need. Staff at our public service desks answered over 125 thousand questions, while almost 38 thousand visitors utilized the library’s computers and over 70 thousand accessed the public WiFi.
Among other notable highlights:
- FanFest broke attendance records this year with over 1,100 people dropping by to play bingo, answer trivia, make crafts, walk the cosplay runway, and bounce through the Bluey playroom.
- Over five thousand people registered for Summer Reading this year, marking our highest totals to date.
- Over 800 people participated in our annual One Book, One Village community read, Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt.
- Our Seed Library launched in November with over 1,300 seed packages available for the community.
