Our seed library is a collection of seeds for flowers, vegetables, herbs, and native plants that you can grow in your garden. Whether you’re planting in a backyard plot, a raised bed, or a container on your windowsill, this is a great way to explore and discover new varieties and learn what grows best in your space. By making gardening accessible to everyone, we hope to share the joy of growing your own food and plants.
How it works
Find our seed collection in the card catalog in the lobby of the Main Library. You don’t need a library card to take seed packets; we just ask that you take only what you need. Seeds are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Planting information
The seed packets include basic planting information, but if you are new to gardening or want more details, check out the helpful gardening resources below. The library is not responsible for the growth or maintenance of the seeds provided and germination is not guaranteed.
