MPPL is a CCS Member Library

In 2024, Mount Prospect Public Library joined Cooperative Computer Services (CCS), a group of over 30 area libraries that share an online catalog.

Features of CCS:

• Shared Online Catalog: When searching the catalog, you will first see items owned by MPPL, or you can choose to see items owned at all member libraries.
• Request Holds and Pick Up: You can place holds on millions of physical items from CCS libraries and pick them up at MPPL or a CCS library (most items).
• Automatic Renewals: Your checked out materials will be automatically renewed if the items do not have holds.
• Returning Items: You can return most items to any CCS library.
• Automatic Card Registration: Your library card is automatically registered with all CCS libraries.

If an item is unavailable at any CCS library, an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request can be submitted by MPPL cardholders.
