Notes From a Midnight Driver book cover

Notes from the Midnight Driver by Jordan Sonnenblick

This book tells the story of Alex Gregory and his parents are getting a divorce.  So, after his mom leaves for a date Alex gets drunk and drives to see his father.  But on the way the car spins out of control and Alex gets injured along with breaking a lawn gnome.  So now Alex is serving his time with community service.  Overall, the book is good.  It incorporates a lot of humor and tells an excellent story.  I would definitely recommend for anyone to pick up this book.

Virals by Kathy Reichs

This book is perfect for those who like a little mystery thrown into some science.  This book takes you on a ride you always wished you could go on!  For those who like supernatural powers combined with genetics, you will love it.  Better than Maximum Ride!

Daniel X: Watch the Skies book coverDaniel X: Watch the Skies by James Patterson

This was a very good book.  I loved the short chapters and the book keeps a fast pace that will keep you reading.  If you love other James Patterson books, you’ll love this!

Inkheart book coverInkheart by Cornelia Funke

Inkheart is like the movie Inception–a book inside a book.  The main character’s (Meggie) father can read objects out of books, and he reads evil villians out and his wife in.  Throughout the book Meggie and her father try and get their mother back, while battling the villian Capricorn’s men, with the help of the fire-eater and Farid.  Definitely a must read off the shelf.

Flipped book coverFlipped by Wendelin Van Draanen

This book was a very well-written book about two kids that have a crush on each other, but at opposite times in their lives.  Eventually, they both like each other in the end.  Flipped was a very heart-warming story and I like the book a lot.

Matched book coverMatched by Ally Condie

Matched was a very good book.  It was set in the future.  The society’s high ranking officials pretty much plan your life.  When you die, where you work, who you love, and even what you eat!  Cassia trusts these decisions, but gets worried when she’s matched with two people: Xander and Ky.  Who will she choose?

Letters From Camp book cover Letters from Camp by Kate Klise

This was a very fun, interesting read!  The whole book was written in the form of letters.  The mystery was about 6 kids (with 2 kids per family) who were sent to Camp Happy Harmony to try to get along with their siblings, only to find that the owners are a bunch of criminals!  I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
